Whatwouldcomputersappearedliketotheuninitiated,20plusyearsago?EvenaswewatchthisremakeofAliceeveryoneknowsthatcomputersweregettingsmallereventhen.Butthisisafunrompwithloveandloyalty,andnowwithtimecampiness.ThenastyoldMPC(MasterControlProgram)wantstoruletheworldvis-à-visremovehumancontaminationorattheleastplaylike"Colossus:TheForbinProject"(1970).Onlythe"Users"(alooseterminventedbythemoviemakersforprogrammers)candefeathim.Flynn(JeffBridges)andahandfullofloyalprogramsincludingTron(BruceBoxleitner)willattempttodosorunningintomanyquasicomputerpartsalongtheway.WilltheysucceedorwilltheirsideissuewiththelovelyYori(CindyMorgan)sidetrackthemfromtheirmission.JeffBridgeslookedcuteinthosedaysandDavidWarner(MasterControlProgramVoice)hadjustenoughtouchofevilforaDisneypicture.

なにより特筆すべきは暗い空間と、ボォっと光るプログラム達。コンピュータマニアならグッとくる表現多数登場ですが、実は世界ではじめてCGを使用（？）したなど、映画史に残るグレートな映画。ヴァーチャルウォーズみたいなテカテカしたCGが大好きな人には是非オススメな一本。
